PIE Interiors is the design studio operated by Positive Investment Estate in Richmond, Virginia. This policy explains how we handle personal information when you visit our website, submit an inquiry, receive a proposal, create an account or use the client portal.

We collect information you provide directly, including your name, email address, telephone number, company, property address and characteristics, project goals, preferred service, budget, timeline, design preferences, inspiration links, messages, consent choices and any other details you choose to provide.

If another decision-maker is involved, you may provide that person's name and email address. Please only provide another person's information when you have permission to do so.

When you create an account, we process your email address, profile name, sign-in credentials and account activity. Passwords are handled by our authentication provider and are not visible to PIE Interiors.

Our website and service providers may receive basic technical information such as your browser type, device type, referring page, pages visited, approximate location derived from an internet address, and campaign or referral parameters included in the link you used.

We use essential browser storage and similar technologies to keep you signed in, maintain security, remember limited interface preferences and preserve an in-progress proposal during your visit. We do not use this policy to claim consent for non-essential advertising cookies.

We use personal information to review and respond to inquiries, assess project fit, recommend a service, prepare and send indicative quotes and design plans, arrange consultations, provide contracted services, operate the client portal, record quote decisions and project progress, and communicate about your project.

We also use information to protect accounts, prevent misuse, troubleshoot the website, maintain business records, comply with legal obligations and improve our services.

If you separately choose to receive marketing, we may send occasional studio news or service information. You may withdraw that choice at any time. Project, account and transaction messages are not marketing and may still be sent when necessary to provide a requested service.

Information in the Start a Project form may be processed to create a tailored service recommendation, indicative fee range and preliminary design direction. PIE Interiors reviews project information before a formal engagement. These preliminary materials are not a binding quote or client agreement.

We do not sell or rent personal information. We share it only where reasonably necessary with companies that help us host the website, secure accounts, store project records, send email, and operate our business, subject to their contractual and legal obligations.

For an active project, we may share relevant information with vendors, installers, contractors, photographers, delivery providers or other project partners when needed to request pricing, coordinate work or deliver the agreed service. We share only what is reasonably required for that purpose.

We may also disclose information where required by law, to protect rights or safety, to investigate fraud or misuse, or as part of a business reorganisation where appropriate safeguards apply.

Portal records are associated with the email address used for the project inquiry. Signed-in clients can view only their linked project information, while authorised PIE Interiors team members can manage client and project records.

Please use a unique password, keep it confidential and contact us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without permission. No method of online storage or transmission is completely secure, but we use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards appropriate to the information involved.

We keep inquiries and project records for as long as reasonably necessary to respond, provide services, maintain accurate business and tax records, resolve disputes and meet legal obligations. Account and portal records may be retained while the account or related project is active and afterwards where needed for those purposes.

Retention periods vary by record type. When information is no longer needed, we delete it, anonymise it or securely isolate it until deletion is practical, subject to backup and legal-record requirements.

You may ask to access, correct or delete personal information we hold about you, or ask questions about how it is used. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to restrict or object to certain processing, obtain a portable copy, or appeal a response.

We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. Some information may be retained where required by law, needed to complete a contract, protect legal rights or maintain security. We will not discriminate against you for making a privacy request.

Our website and services are intended for property owners, investors and other adults. They are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Please contact us if you believe a child has submitted information to us.

The website may link to third-party websites or services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, and PIE Interiors is not responsible for their content or handling of information.

We may update this policy as our services or legal obligations change. The current version will be published here with its updated date. If a change materially affects how we use information already collected, we will provide additional notice where required.
